Brewer’s Senior Career Best to Good For Hungerford 2s

South Wilts 4th XI continued their winning ways, thrashing Hungerford 2nd XI by 158 runs on Saturday.

Batting first, the South Wilts total was built around major contributions from Sam Litchfield and Max Allen, both of whom struck 13 fours and a six in scoring 84 and 96* respectively as the 4s made 246-4 from 40 overs.

Hungerford never looked like chasing this target once Josh Croom and Chris Chaddock made early inroads to leave them 17-2.  However, this was simply the calm before the storm, as under 14 James Brewer ripped through the middle order, ending with outstanding figures of 7-0-31-6. Matt Anderson-Emm also chipped in with a couple of wickets, ensuring the Hungerford innings ended in only 25 overs, all out for 90.
