South Wilts 4th XI made it 4 wins on the trot, defeating Knight’s Valley by 8 wickets.
On a flat Academy wicket with a rapid outfield, South Wilts did well to restrict the visitors to 157-8 off their 40 overs. Isaac Ashman took a couple upfront with the new ball, while Matt Burton, unavailable for the seconds due to work commitments, took 2-26 at the death. However, it was again James Brewer amongst the wickets, as he backed up his sixfer last week with 3-34 this time around.
Despite Burton falling early, South Wilts easily chased the target with 15 over to spare. The returning Charlie Smith batted through the innings’ entirety to finish on 51, while Tim Anderson-Emm scored a quick-fire 61 and Sam Litchfield continued his good form to finish unbeaten on 22.
