At a meeting on 25th January the Committee at SWCC discussed and agreed our approach to Season 2021. It had already been agreed that due to the Pandemic it would not be possible to organise a traditional AGM this Winter especially given that the club has well over 100 members. However information and proposals were sent out to the membership before Christmas and comments invited and received.
The meeting on 25th January confirmed the appointment of the full range of Committee members for 2021 as follows;

We are delighted to be able to start the year with all of our key positions filled.
The Committee also agreed subscriptions for the forthcoming season as follows:
Juniors. £ 120

It has been agreed that Tom Morton would continue as Senior Head Coach. We don’t believe at this time that it will be possible to do any indoor pre season training but we will endeavour to start outside as soon as the weather( and the government) permits. We will keep you updated on this on the website.
As ever Tom is keeping a watching brief on club members fitness and has launched his own online fitness challenge. He expects everyone old and young, player and non player to participate so please Click Here for more information on preseason.
Fixtures have not been finalised yet but we know that the League season should start on 8th May for all 4 teams depending on the National situation regarding the Pandemic. Pre season friendlies have provisionally been arranged for every weekend in April up until the start of the league season.
We are looking forward to a comprehensive list of County, Junior, girls, competitive and friendly cricket fixtures taking place on Sundays and week days and will update you as soon as we have more details.
We are all living through uncertain times and you will appreciate that this will have an effect on our ability to make key decisions.
The pandemic will make the financial situation very difficult for many Sports Clubs and SWCC is indebted to all our sponsors, Vice Presidents, Sponsors and players for their ongoing support. We are particularly grateful to the efforts of our fundraising team of Steve Hatcher and Andy Cooke. Chase The Joker has proved a great success in supporting club finances but also by providing some interest and entertainment during a long and difficult winter.
South Wilts CC extends best wishes to all our players and supporters. Please take care and we look forward to seeing you all when the season gets underway.
