BUILDING WORK TO START

We are pleased to announce that we have issued a Letter of Intent to the selected Contractor today to appoint them and allow them a 2 week period to mobilise their team and start work on site the week of 1st February. Following some detailed negotiations we are delighted that we will get substantially the building we wanted.
Assuming all other parts to this complex Project are completed and set in place then we can expect the new Pavilion to be completed in September 2011 at which time we vacate the exist club house and this pocket of land reverts to the Wilton Estate for the small housing development to then take place.
There is still a lot of work to do and still some outstanding funding applications to be determined plus formal agreements with the Estate and strict conditions of the Planning Application still to be satisfied. If we are successful in the outstanding funding applications then it will mean we have less need to depend on the loan pledges we gained from Members.
We plan to have a formal Turf Cutting ceremony on Sat 29 January and details of this plus a formal Press Release are being worked on.
There is still a very long way to go and doubtless various problems at set backs to come, but it has been a great team effort so far and we remain intent on seeing this through.
Lets enjoy this great news but please do keep all fund raising and awareness very much on the go because the more money we can raise, the better the final building will be.
