James Degg hit a half-century before Matt Burton and Tom Grant shared eight wickets as South Wilts defeated the Hampshire Academy by 91 runs to remain second in the ECB Southern Premier League.
The win also ensured the 'time' pennant - awarded annually to the club with the best record in red ball all-day cricket - will hang with pride in the Bemerton clubhouse at the end of the season.
It was South Wilts' sixth win in seven 'time' matches and saw left-armer Tom Grant increase his wicket tally to 33, five ahead of Burridge all-rounder Inayat Ullah (28) in the race for the Premier bowling crown.
With five 50-over 'white ball' matches remaining, South Wilts trail leaders St Cross Symondians by 19 points, the defending champions inflicting a crushing seven-wicket defeat on struggling Bashey (Rydal).
Degg lost Jack Stearman and Jack Mynott cheaply, but played some attractive shots, including ten boundaries, as he advanced to 58 before becoming a second leg before victim for Oli Cordery (2-22).
Led by Tom Cheater (3-35) and Jude Wright (2-31), the Academhy bowlers continued to chip away, but Ben Draper (48), supported by several of the middle-order, made useful runs to consolidate South Wilts' position.
Being dismissed for 198 in 52 overs was less than ideal, but the Academy's reply lasted only 42 overs, with Andover-raised Sam Ashman (51) the only batsman to emerge with any credit from a disappointing response.
They were bowled out for 107, Grant (4-35) inflicting damage at the top of the order before Burton (4-39) carved through the tail.
