A Week to Remember as South Wilts CC Hosts Three Major Cricket Events

The last week has been an incredibly busy one for South Wilts Cricket Club, as a friendly and inclusive cricket club we proudly hosted three major events that showcased cricket at every level. From county age-group cricket and local league finals to regional junior competition, the club welcomed hundreds of players, coaches, officials and supporters to our ground.
? We were delighted to host the Wiltshire U18 vs Cornwall three-day match, which produced an incredible 1,300 runs over three days of entertaining cricket. A huge thank you to James, our Head Groundsman, for the outstanding work that went into preparing and maintaining the pitches throughout the match.

? We then welcomed the Salisbury & District Midweek T20 League Finals Night, something we're always proud to host. The HK Robinson Cup and Plate Finals showcased some excellent local cricket before the presentation of the league and individual awards.
With more than 100 people at the ground enjoying a warm summer's evening, the event was another great success and a brilliant showcase for local cricket.
In the HK Robinson Cup Final, Breamore CC produced an excellent run chase to defeat Rockbourne CC and lift the trophy after a competitive contest.
In the Plate Final, South Wilts CC delivered a superb batting performance, chasing down Steeple Langford's 145 in under 13 overs to secure the Plate trophy in emphatic fashion.
Congratulations to all four finalists, and thank you to the Salisbury & District Midweek T20 League, players, officials, volunteers and supporters for making it another memorable finals night. We look forward to welcoming everyone back again next year.
? Just 12 hours after hosting the Salisbury & District Midweek T20 League Finals Night, South Wilts CC was delighted to welcome the ECB U13 Regional Finals Day.
Following another incredible effort from James and our dedicated grounds volunteers, the ground was transformed overnight to host four of the best U13 teams from across the South and South West in two high-quality semi-finals and a fantastic final.
Congratulations to Bournemouth CC, who were crowned Regional Champions after defeating Bridgwater CC in an excellent final. Well done to all four teams for showcasing such a high standard of junior cricket throughout the day.
