South Wilts 1st XI produced a dominant all-round display to secure a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over Langley Manor in the Southern Premier Cricket League T20 Group South clash at Lower Bemerton on Sunday.

After losing the toss and being asked to field, South Wilts' bowlers immediately took control. Archie Pascoe set the tone with an outstanding opening spell, removing three of Langley Manor's top-order batters to leave the visitors reeling. Rob Pittman struck twice in quick succession, while disciplined bowling and sharp fielding ensured Langley Manor never recovered from their early collapse.

William Budd provided the only significant resistance with a well-made 34, supported briefly by Nick Jenkin's 17, but regular wickets prevented any meaningful partnerships from developing. George Allom claimed two wickets for just four runs, while Archie Fairfax-Ross and Matthew Falconer also chipped in with a wicket apiece as Langley Manor were dismissed for just 81 in 19.2 overs.

In reply, South Wilts wasted no time making light work of the modest target. Tom Cheater unleashed a spectacular innings, smashing an unbeaten 65 from only 19 balls. His breathtaking knock included eight fours and five sixes, with a half-century arriving in just 14 deliveries

Cheater and Trishawn Francis put on 65 for the opening wicket in only 2.3 overs, with Francis contributing a brisk 15 from nine balls before falling to Cam Darling. Joshua Chippendale then finished the job alongside Cheater, striking a six as South Wilts reached 87-1 in just 5.2 overs to seal victory with 88 balls remaining.
