South Wilts 1st XI completed a flawless Southern Premier Cricket League T20 Group South campaign with a commanding 95-run victory over Fawley CC, making it four wins from four to finish as group winners and book their place in the quarter-finals.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, South Wilts made their intentions clear from the outset. Harry Broderick struck a rapid 44 from just 25 balls, including eight boundaries, while skipper Tom Cheater blasted 24 from only 11 deliveries to provide the perfect platform.

The innings gathered even greater momentum through Joshua Chippendale, who produced a breathtaking 71 from just 33 balls, smashing six fours and five sixes. Matthew Falconer then continued the assault with a superb 57 from 30 deliveries before Gabriel Williams finished unbeaten on 17 as South Wilts posted a formidable 232 for 5 from their 20 overs.

Fawley faced an enormous task in reply and, despite an entertaining 55 from Brendan Streather, never seriously threatened the target. South Wilts' bowlers kept the pressure on throughout, with Jasper Blackwood leading the way with figures of 2 for 25. George Nash, Thomas Barrett and Trishawn Francis each chipped in with a wicket as Fawley were restricted to 137 for 5.

The comprehensive 95-run victory capped a perfect group-stage campaign for South Wilts. Four wins from four matches secured top spot in the group, earning the side not only a place in the quarter-finals but also the valuable advantage of hosting the knockout tie on home soil. With the batting firing on all cylinders and the bowling attack continuing to deliver, South Wilts will head into the last eight full of confidence as they look to continue their impressive T20 campaign.
