South Wilts enjoyed an outstanding week at the Blundell's U15 Tour Tournament, finishing top of the round-robin standings after seven consecutive victories. Their unbeaten run secured first place in the league table, setting up a winner-takes-all final against second-placed Taunton St Andrews for the tournament cup.

Taunton won a thrilling final by just seven runs to lift the cup, but South Wilts' remarkable consistency across the week saw them finish as the leading side in the round-robin competition. Seven wins from eight matches, together with outstanding team performances with both bat and ball, made it a hugely successful and memorable tour.

South Wilts U15 beat Exmouth U15 by 7 wickets

South Wilts made the perfect start to the tournament with an emphatic chase against Exmouth. After restricting Exmouth to 187-9, despite 35 extras, the bowling effort was shared around with Callum Foot (2-24), Freddie Jones (2-41) and Joe Stewart (2-42) all taking multiple wickets, while Taylor Wormington, Harry Swan and Ollie Wright chipped in with one each.
The reply was spectacular. Ivo Leyland and Jacob Rowe both retired unbeaten on 50, while Taylor Wormington struck 31 from just 19 balls. South Wilts raced to 188-3 in only 14 overs to claim an impressive opening victory.

South Wilts U15 beat Oxford CC Yellow by 40 runs

Batting first, South Wilts posted an excellent 187-6. Asher Osborn anchored the innings with 39, Ollie Wright added 29, Jacob Rowe finished unbeaten on 25 and valuable contributions came throughout the order.

Oxford's chase never really gathered momentum. Joseph Parrack retired on 50 but disciplined bowling from Ivo Leyland (2-21), Jacob Rowe (2-24), Callum Foot and Alfie Yeo ensured South Wilts stayed firmly in control to secure back-to-back wins.

South Wilts U15 beat Wolvercote U15 by 85 runs

South Wilts produced one of the batting performances of the tournament, piling up 213-3 from their 20 overs. Joe Stewart retired unbeaten on 53, Oscar Whiting blasted 48, Freddie Jones made 41 and Callum Foot added a rapid 34 before Ivo Leyland finished unbeaten on 20.

Wolvercote never threatened the target, finishing on 128-4. Callum Foot, Jacob Rowe and Asher Osborn shared the wickets as South Wilts recorded their third successive victory.

Another dominant all-round display saw South Wilts dismiss Oxford Blue for 118. Ivo Leyland starred with 3 wickets, while Callum Foot claimed two and Jacob Rowe, Freddie Jones and Ollie Wright all contributed.

The chase was completed with ease. Jacob Rowe retired unbeaten on 55 and Taylor Wormington finished unbeaten on 44 as South Wilts reached 123-1 with plenty to spare.

Charlbury were restricted to 112-7 thanks to an excellent team bowling effort. Oscar Whiting took 2 wickets while Harry Swan, Callum Foot, Ollie Wright, Taylor Wormington and Asher Osborn all claimed one each.

South Wilts wrapped up victory in just 67 balls. Ivo Leyland retired unbeaten on 50 while Callum Foot struck an unbeaten 38, sealing another convincing win and maintaining the team's unbeaten tournament record.

South Wilts U15 beat Taunton St Andrews Lions by 20 runs

Facing one of the strongest sides in the competition, South Wilts posted 198-5. Asher Osborn retired unbeaten on 54 and Ivo Leyland retired unbeaten on 50 after valuable earlier contributions from Taylor Wormington and Jacob Rowe.

Taunton responded well but South Wilts held their nerve. Jacob Rowe claimed two wickets while Joe Stewart, Freddie Jones and Oscar Whiting each struck once as Taunton finished on 178-6, handing South Wilts another important victory.

South Wilts U15 beat Cookham Dean Panthers by 131 runs

South Wilts produced their highest score of the week with a remarkable 333-8 from 20 overs. Freddie Jones smashed an unbeaten 68, Jacob Rowe finished unbeaten on 52, Harry Swan blasted 49, Asher Osborn made 43 and Joe Stewart added 38 in a breathtaking batting display.

Cookham Dean replied with 202-9 despite Callum Foot's outstanding spell of 5-27. Freddie Jones added two wickets as South Wilts completed their seventh consecutive victory.

Taunton St Andrews Lions beat South Wilts U15 by 7 runs

After seven rounds of round-robin cricket, South Wilts topped the table with seven straight victories, while Taunton St Andrews finished second to earn a place alongside South Wilts in the tournament cup final. With the week's league programme complete, the top two teams met in a winner-takes-all finale to decide the overall tournament champions.

Taunton elected to bat and were dismissed for 167, with Jacob Rowe producing an outstanding spell of 5-35. Harry Swan claimed two wickets, while Ivo Leyland and Freddie Jones each took one as South Wilts fought back well after Taunton had looked set for a bigger total.

South Wilts made a positive start to the chase through Callum Foot's explosive 42 from just 15 balls, while Oscar Whiting added an excellent 32. However, Taunton captain George Connolly produced a match-winning spell of 5-19 to halt the chase, with South Wilts eventually bowled out for 160, just seven runs short.

Although defeated in the cup final, South Wilts could reflect on a superb week in which they finished top of the round-robin standings, winning seven of their eight matches and establishing themselves as the most consistent side across the tournament.
